Miami Dolphins NT Jason Ferguson Vows To Be Ready For Training Camp

Miami Dolphins NT Jason Ferguson vows he will be 100 percent by the start of the Miami Dolphins training camp later this summer, according to Brian Biggane (The Palm Beach Post).

“By training camp, I want to be out there with my guys, and giving them what they can expect when November comes,” Ferguson said.

The 36 year old defensive lineman will sit out the first eight games of the 2010 season while serving a suspension for using an illegal substance though.

The Dolphins will miss his presence in the middle. Although the Dolphins brass have been raving about veteran DE Randy Starks move to nose tackle, the team is still pretty thin at the position.

It wouldn’t surprise me to see the Dolphins show a bunch of different looks this upcoming season with the uncertainty of the nose tackle position in their base 3-4 defense and a strong unit of young defensive lineman the likes of Kendall Langford, Phillip Merling, and first round draft pick, rookie Jared Odrick.
