Bengals DE Antwan Odom Returns To Practice Following Serious Injury

Cincinnati Bengals DE Antwan Odom was on his way to having a very nice season with the playoff bound Bengals until Odom suffered one of the worst injuries possible for an athlete.

Odom ruptured his Achilles’ tendon and was forced out for the rest of the season.

Jason La Canfora (NFL Network) is reporting that Odom has returned to the practice field and plans to make a full recovery for the upcoming season.

After receiving a huge contract from the Cincinnati Bengals as a free agent following a strong 2007 campaign with the Tennessee Titans, he had a very disappointing first year wearing the orange and black.

After battling through nagging injuries, his first season in the “jungle”, Odom had a very successful second season before his serious injury, recording five sacks in one game against the Green Bay Packers.

The Bengals struggled rushing the passer with just their front four the rest of the season, and they hope Antwan returns to his old form from a year ago before his injury, this upcoming season.
